Serenity in the City

This serene community is located in the heart of the action, but with minimal impact from commuter traffic. The Pleasant Valley neighbourhood is able to maintain its a quiet, suburban ambiance because of its smaller streets, and it's quite desirable because of this.

The two highways (the Nanaimo Parkway and the Island Highway) make it easier for travellers and passersby to avoid any residential streets, and homeowners are minutes from nearby amenities.

Top Pleasant Valley Highlights & Attractions

Pleasant Valley is made up of both residential and commercial areas, with the latter roughly being found in the north and south ends of the neighbourhood. The benefits of this is that shops and stores are but a quick drive away, and residential streets are kept quiet and private. Residents of Pleasant Valley get the best of both worlds in regards to amenities and peacefulness.

The neighbourhood is also located near two large lakes, Brannen Lake and Green Lake. Both of these bodies of water have a boat launch, so for those of who like to get out on the water spontaneously, this community might be a great option. However, if the lakes are not for you, there are boat ramps for the strait (both motorized and non-motorized) about a 10 to 15-minute drive east.

For outdoor enthusiasts of the hiking and mountain biking variety, Mount Benson Regional Park can be a bit of a drive, but worth it. There are some hiking trails closer to Pleasant Valley, such as Lower Norbacks Line and those at Benson Creek Falls Regional Park, however these trails are not always clearly marked and mapped, so interested individuals should take some caution.
