Qualicum Real Estate

When it comes to properties on the Qualicum market, a significant portion of the listings are single-family homes. However, despite the kilometers upon kilometers of coast, waterfront homes for sale in Qualicum are less frequently available on account of their desirability. In general, homes in this region are built in traditional styles, such as Craftsman and West Coast, though custom homes are a popular choice, and often incorporate more modern elements into their design. Additionally, while homes on the coast are quite sought-after, Qualicum has a number of small lakes and rivers, and this is an alternative for buyers searching for a secluded property on the water.

Explore Qualicum Waterfront Homes For Sale

By far the most desirable amenity for a waterfront property is the constant and unobstructed view of the ocean, but these properties are also a short drive away from stores in the Qualicum Beach downtown area. Some specific neighbourhoods have their own features, such as community parks or resident perks. Qualicum Landing, for example, is a luxury waterfront community made up of Craftsman style cottages, and offers the opportunity for owners to rent out their properties. In contrast, Little Qualicum River Village has properties that back onto the Qualicum River, with unrestrained access.

While beaches are not always guaranteed for a waterfront home, it is relatively common to find homes in Qualicum Beach that have their own ocean access. Qualicum Bay, another Qualicum community, has far less opportunities to own a waterfront home, but this is just how the coast is and how the community has planned. Regardless, Quilcum residents enjoy various water activities, including boating, kayaking, swimming, and fishing.
