Saltair Real Estate
The small community of Saltair is found right off the of highway, nestled into the forest. Real estate in Saltair consists of single-family and manufactured homes, as well as vacant lots and land for sale.
Because of Saltair's prime waterfront location and rural denomination, homes for sale range from the typical West Coast style cottages to luxurious (often in wood or imitation construction) cabins, both of which range from more traditional to more modern designs. Homes for sale are situated on private lots with mature trees, or in the suburban residential neighborhoods on the east side, with views of the ocean being both desirable and rarer to find on the market.
Additionally, with vacant lots often available, homebuyers may choose to design and construct their ideal home as a full-time residence, or as a second, vacation home.
Saltair Lifestyle
Saltair has typically attracted a range of prospective buyers, primarily artists and nature-lovers searching for a small, peaceful community in which to permanently reside.
Saltair residents are quite active in their community, with events throughout the year. The Saltair Community Centre, located right in the heart of it all, has a daycare program, as well as a quilters group and an an arts group, and events have included art exhibitions, local artisans' markets, and the Saltair Seedy Sunday—showcasing gardeners and horticulturalists in the community.
Saltair has its faire share of small shops and businesses, including a cafe, a bookstore, and a supermarket, which are located along 1A (Chemainus Road). This road also connects residents to the communities of Chemainus in the south and Ladysmith to the north.
