beautiful lakeside homes!

Youbou Real Estate

Youbou sits on the northern shore of one of the most beautiful lakes in British Columbia, Cowichan Lake. This body of water is about 30 kilometers long, so properties for sale in this area are quite sizable. The lakeside community of Youbou started as a mill town, but is now mostly made up of stunning luxury and waterfront homes, for cottage, cabin, and craftsman style living at its finest! Since there is high demand for homes in this area, there are often very few active listings. Lakefront Community Life

Youbou Real Estate

Located only 15 minutes away from the beautiful town of Lake Cowichan is the lakefront community of Youbou. With a population of about 1,400, this is the second-largest community on Cowichan Lake.

Homes in Youbou are built in Cottage, Cabin, and Craftsman styles. Many of the properties keep the natural features of the area, and incorporate large, mature trees into the landscaping surrounding the home. Houses can be quite large, on sizable lots, with the most desirable waterfront homes having their own private dock on Cowichan Lake. There are also a selection of luxury homes in Youbou, which come with modern upgrades and are built in unique, contemporary styles.

Top Youbou Highlights & Attractions

Known for its stunning natural beauty and warm, inviting atmosphere, Youbou is a great place to escape from the hustle and bustle of fast-paced city life and reconnect with nature. This community is desired because of its lovely location right on Cowichan Lake and the dense forest that surrounds it. Therefore, outdoor activities, such as hiking and boating, are very popular with both residents and visitors alike.

This area is home to Arbutus Park, which has a public beach and offers many outdoor activities to enjoy, such as swimming and picnicking. This is a wonderful park to hang out with the family, have a picnic, and enjoy the beautiful weather. Price Park, another popular area, is great to stroll by the water and take in the beautiful views. Many Youbou residents have their own boat, so spending an afternoon on the water is also a favourite pastime! Those a little bit more adventurous can venture out and explore some of the forest trails, such as Christopher Rock and Lomas Lake, or experience some of the many campgrounds and sites around Cowichan Lake.

From Youbou, you can easily take a day trip to many of Vancouver Island's most beautiful communities, including Victoria, Nanaimo, and more!
